01/31/2008. This aircraft was one of 150 B.E.2c/e’s produced during WW I by William Denny & Bros. Ltd. at Dumbarton, Scotland for the RAF, s/n C6986. It was the fifth aircraft registered in Australia, its Certificate of Registration to Queensland & N.T. Aerial Service Co. Ltd. (later Qantas) being issued on June 28, 1921. The aircraft was deregistered on December 4, 1926. |
