01/31/2008. This large three-seat reconnaissance biplane was designed and built to the Admiralty Specification 1/24. Two prototypes were built and had an interchangeable wheel/float undercarriage and they were powered by a 471 hp Napier Lion, the first aircraft flew in March 1926. Tests revealed poor handling qualities and the performance stayed below specifications, subsequently the type was abandoned. |
