Valmet PIK-23 Towmaster

11/30/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Polyteknikkojen Ilmailukerho ry (PIK) is the Aviation Club of Helsinki's Polytechnic University. Students of this club designed the side-by-side two-seat PIK-23 that was originally known as Suhinu. Largely of composite construction, these components were manufactured at the university, while assembly, testing and certification flying took place at Valmet. The pictured first prototype flew for the first time on March 22, 1982, while the second, OH-TUG c/n 002, flew in April 1983. No production followed, the prototypes are still active."
