11/30/2011. Remarks by
Johan Visschedijk: "Still wearing its basic RCAF livery this aircraft was one of 35 produced for that air force. First flown in 1953 with s/n 22111 in 1953 as a C-119F it was later converted to a C-119G, came on the civil registry as N8093, flew with an auxiliary jet engine atop the fuselage, and was used as a fire-fighter, listed as Tanker number 140. Eventually it was bought by Robert Stanford of Zenith Aviation who donated it to the Hagerstown Aviation Museum. It was delivered to the museum on November 16, 2008."
