11/30/2007. This was one of the 250 Mk.IIIs built for the RAF (s/n AG835 to AG999, AH100 to AH184). Manufactured in 1942, it was shipped to the UK aboard the steamship Thurso Bank or the Loch Don. Both ships were sunk on the Atlantic (March 22 and April 1, 1942 respectively), 10 sailors lost their lives and 2 Baltimore Mk.Is (AG685, AG686), 2 Mk.IIs (AG775, AG791) and 31 Mk.IIIs (AG844, AG845, AG849, AG855, AG859, AG867, AG868, AG872, AG874, AG883, AG888 to AG891, AG895, AG897, AG908, AG969 to AG973, AG985 to AG990, AG993, AG996, AG997) went down with the ships.
