Pottier P.70S

04/30/2010. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Jean Pottier derived this small single-seat closed cabin sporting aircraft from his earlier design, the open cockpit P.70B that was built by Alain Besneux and first flew July 19, 1974. Design of the P.70S was started six months earlier, January 1974, and F-PYEF was the first to fly, in 1977, powered by a 40 hp Volkswagen 1,500 cc engine. It embodied some design changes, including a tail wheel type landing gear, which apparently has been converted to a nose wheel type. By early 1984 nine were flying, with 22 more under construction, presently there are twelve registered."
