02/28/2015. Remarks by Larry Westin: "In-flight views of the first production Stinson L-13A, serial number 46-068. The L-13 was designed by Stinson at their Wayne, Michigan facility, and two prototypes were built and flown by Stinson at Wayne. With the sale of the Stinson division to Piper in late 1948, the parent company Consolidated Vultee (also known as Convair) kept the rights to the L-13, and put it into production at their plant at San Diego, California. Eventually 300 L-13s were built."
