Stinson 108 Voyager 125

02/28/2015. Remarks by Larry Westin: "This is the first of two prototypes of the Stinson 108 series. It was originally built as a Model 10A Voyager 90 and modified into the Model 108 Voyager 125 configuration powered by an 125 hp Lycoming engine, but never entered production with that engine because of poor performance. The production Model 108 was powered with an 150 hp Franklin engine. Pictured above with test pilot Al Schramm, the prototype is in its initial configuration with the Model 10A large vertical stabilizer and low tail plane as shown in these static and in flight photos. Later static and in flight photos of NX31519 show prototype with the modified smaller vertical stabilizer and higher set tail plane version of the production Model 108 Voyager 150."
