07/21/2007. This is the second prototype of the FH-227, the Fairchild Hiller stretched version of the license-built Fokker F-27. Flown for the first time in early 1966 it joined the first prototype (N2227L c/n 501) in the test program and certification was gained on June 24, 1966.

From 1967 the aircraft was registered to a number of companies in the USA (Tenneco, UC Computer, Zapata Norness), before it went to the Peruvian government (Ministerio de Pesquerio, registered OB-M1221) in 1981, being transferred to the Peruvian AF (s/n 395) the following year; it has been stored since 1988.
