02/22/2003. Remarks by Trevor McTavish (McTavish family operated Chinook Flying Service 1940s-1970s): "The Anson CF-GLY was one of two Anson Mk.Vs bought by Franz McTavish. 'GLY was the better of the two and the second was given to the local technical college (SAIT) where it was eventually burnt. 'GLY was used as an airliner and freighter. For work on the DEW Line, a large freight door, large enought for sheets of plywood was cut into the lefthand, rear fuselage." |
