The following text from Aviation Week is not unique to the aircraft
09/30/1963. Prototype Mitsubishi MU-2 turboprop executive aircraft,
which will be manufactured and marketed in the USA by Mooney Aircraft
Inc., of Kerrville, Texas, made its first flight at the Nagoya
Aircraft Works of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Japan, earlier this month.
Note: the prototype had the two turboprop engines suspended from
the wing from pylons.
11/22/1965. Acceleration of the aircraft is rapid when power is applied and the
location of the cabin near the ground emphasizes this tendency.
Considerable back pressure on the control wheel is necessary to get
then MU-2B off the ground and this must be followed immediately by an
almost equally stiff forward motion to keep the aircraft from
climbing at too steep an angle for passenger comfort.
