02/22/2003. Remarks by Trevor McTavish (McTavish family operated Chinook Flying Service 1940s-1970s): "Your photo is of CF-FNG after it was sold by Chinook Air Service. It should be understood that all the Aeroncas that Chinook used were quickly sold off. As an Aeronca dealer Chinook was forced to take fifteen Aeroncas over a set period of time. From delivery at the factory to the time someone bought them Chinook had to pay the bill. Putting them into service was simply a way to cover some of the costs."
