Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Hans Jacobs of the Deutsches Forschungsinstitut für Segelflug (DFS - German Research Institute for Soaring Flight) designed the Meise (Titmouse) for a contest for a standard glider to be used at the 1940 Olympics in Helsinki, Finland. Therefor the glider was also known as the Olympia and was produced in Germany, but also in other countries, like France, as the Nord 2000, and England, as the Elliotts of Newbury EoN 5."
