Douglas A-26B Invader

12/31/2007. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This aircraft was built for the USAAF as an A-26B, s/n 44-34777, however it was never delivered to the USAAF. Instead it was delivered to the RFC for disposal in 1945. By 1954 it was registered as N66661 and was later converted to an On Mark Marketeer.

Later identities were N1242, N910F and it was N919P when it overshot while landing at Chicago-Meigs Field, Illinois, USA, ran into Lake Michigan and sank on November 26, 1969. The salvaged airframe became a part of the Walter Soplata Collection, Newbury, Ohio, where it still remained on February 11, 2007, albeit sans engines and landing gear."
