Fokker Universal

Location of photo identified by Bob Starratt. Remarks by Jack Minor, a researcher at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre and Steve Bea, UK:

"The upright machine is a Fokker Universal, c/n 425, registered January 23, 1928, belonging (depending on when the photo was taken) to Western Canada Airways Ltd., or Canadian Airways Ltd. G-CAIV has a fairly short career suffering severe damage in a rough ice take off at Peace River, Alberta, Canada on December 15, 1931.
I cannot be certain about the upside-down plane, but believe it to be a Fokker Super Universal. It has essentially the same wing as the upright Universal and, like the Super Universal, the wing is strut-free."
