04/30/2006. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "First flown February 21, 1953, delivered to 412 Squadron of the RCAF as a Comet Mk.IA in May 1953 and converted to Mk.1XB in September 1957. It was withdrawn from service on October 3, 1963 and scrapped. The nose is at the Canada Aviation Museum."
