The following text is from Aviation Week:
03/02/1964. Golden Hawks, RCAF jet aerobatic team, is being
disbanded for economy reasons. Paul Hellyer, Canada's minister of
national defense, said the $750,000 required each year to operate the
team's North American Sabres is needed for other purposes. The team
had performed about 250 times in Canada and the USA since its first
public demonstration in 1959.
