02/28/2011. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This Douglas DC-3A-456 was ordered by the USAAF as a C-47-90-DL, s/n 43-15747 and delivered on March 4, 1944. It was assigned to the Air Transport Command and was based in the US until declared surplus and transferred to the Reconstruction Finance Corp. on March 1, 1946 at Cal-Aero Field, Ontario, California.

It was sold to the US airline Southwest Airways of Beverly Hills, in 1946, converted from a C-47 to a DC-3C and registered NC63105. Southwest was a feeder airline operating in California. On March 6, 1958, Southwest was renamed Pacific Lines of San Francisco.

Sold to Banfe Aviation of Palo Alto, California on March 27, 1964, it was resold to the Laotian airline Air Vientiane Laos of Vientiane on June 11, 1964. It was sold to the Taiwanese airline Winner Airways of Taipei on March 8, 1967 and leased back to Air Vientiane Laos in 1970. It was subsequently scrapped."
