09/20/2002. Remarks by Jack McKillop and Jacques Julien: "This is the 312th DC-6/DC-7 built and was delivered to Canadian Pacific Airlines of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on January 17, 1953, registered CF-CUO and named "Empress of Lima". The aircraft was sold to the French airline Union Aeromaritime de Transportes (UAT) of Paris on June 8, 1959 and re-registered F-BHMR. It was leased to the German carrier Continentale Deutsche Luftreederei from January to October 1961 and the Ivory Coast airline Air Afrique from November 1963 to November 1965 where it was registered
TU-TCK.

In unknown time frames it has also been leased by UAT to the French carrier Union des Transports Aériens (UTA) in November 1965; EAS (Europe Air Service) in October 1971 and then sold to the Djiboutian airline Air Djibouti in December 1973. On April 21, 1975, it was sold to Bellomy-Lawson Aviation, a US leasing company, and re-registered N47058. In November 1975 the aircraft was converted to a DC-6BF freighter and placed in storage at Miami, Florida.

It was leased to Guyana Airways from August 1978 to August 1981 and during that period, ownership was transferred to Aggie Aircraft Corp. The next lease was to Compañía Panameña de Aviación (COPA) of Panama who leased it from November 1981 to July 1982 registered HP-936.

Returned to the US owners, the aircraft was initially registered N2890M but was re-registered N94BL in December 1982. Guyana Airways leased the aircraft between January and August 1983 and the aircraft went through several owners until sold to Aerosol Colombia in June 1993 and re-registered HK-3847X. In February 1994, the aircraft was damaged beyond repair in a non-fatal landing accident at Vanguardia Airport, Villavicencio, Colombia."
