The following text from Aviation Week is not unique to the aircraft pictured:
08/27/1963. Two new world speed records for amphibians of unlimited weight were claimed... for a Coast Guard Grumman UF-2G Albatross. The average speed of 201.45 kt (231.82 mph, 373.09 kmh) bettered two old records for both 2,205 lb (1,000 kg) and 4,409 lb (2,000 kg) payloads set by the USSR in 1940 by over 50 kt (57 mph, 92 kmh) and 60 kt (69 mph, 111 kmh) respectively.
