08/31/2012. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "One of ten produced for Northwest Airlines, this aircraft was registered N74605 and was delivered to the airline on August 28, 1949. With fleet number 705 and named Chicago (later Newark), it served with Northwest till December 1959, when it was traded to Lockheed. Subsequently it was sold to aircraft salesman and entrepreneur Lee Mansdorf, who later sold the aircraft to Guppy producer Aero Spacelines."
