aircraft in production."
02/15/2007. Remarks by Jack
McKillop: "This was the 113th DC-6/DC-7 built and was
delivered to American Airlines of New York, New York, USA, on February
28, 1948 and named "Flagship Utah", it was subsequently named
"Flagship Wilkes Barre" in December 1953.
It was sold to Austral
(Compania Argentina de Transportes Aereos SACI) of Buenos Aires,
Argentina, and delivered as LV-PEC on December 31, 1965; on January 26,
1966, Austral reregistered the aircraft LV-IOM.
This DC-6 was traded
to a New York broker on October 3, 1968 and stored at Miami, Florida
until moved to Greater Southwest Airport, Ft. Worth, Texas, in 1970.
It was scrapped there in December 1970."
