Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Produced by Douglas at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA in 1944 as a DC-3A-456, this aircraft was designated C-47A-5-DK Skytrain by the USAAF and was serialed 42-92451. It was transferred to the RAF under the designation Dakota Mk.III, British serial FZ668, and was operated by No. 271 Squadron till it was returned to the USAAF in September 1946.
In 1947 it was sold to Trans-Canada Air Lines and registered as an DC-3C, CF-TER it was operated for eleven years. Subsequently it was acquired by the Government of Canada, Department of Transport, and reregistered CF-DTD, in December 1989 as C-FDTD. On July 6, 1993 the aircraft was registered to Fondation Aerovision Quebec (known as the Air and Space Museum of Quebec), where the aircraft is on display with its engines removed."
