Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This aircraft was delivered to the US airline American Airlines on July 31, 1948, registered N94241 and named "Flagship Cleveland"; it was subsequently renamed "Flagship Monticello". It was later sold to the shipbuilding and construction company Brown & Root, Inc. on April 11, 1960 and reregistered N333N and later sold to Pacific Aero in January 1962.

On November 16, 1962, this 240 was sold to Japan's Toa Airways and reregistered JA5113. On December 11, 1970, it was withdrawn from use. The fate of the aircraft is unknown."
