Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This aircraft was built as a C-54D-10-DC and was delivered to the USAAF as 42-72641 on June 11, 1945. It was sold after the war and registered N6513D to an unknown buyer. It was then sold to Loram Ltd in Canada in 1959 and registered CF-LTI. The aircraft was subsequently sold to Pacific Western Airlines of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and re-registered CF-PWJ. It was sold to Century Airlines and registered as N74182. Finally it was sold to AMAZ in Kinshasa, Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo), and registered 9Q-COO. Sometime after 1980 it has been scrapped." |
