02/10/2015 Remarks by Jan Johnson: "I started my search for a Cessna 195 in June, 2012 and located N4026A (ex 51-6987) for sale in Central California. Two weeks later I was the proud owner of my very first airplane! I had some structural work performed in upstate New York during 2014, and then ferried it to San Jose International Airport, where the plane is based. I named her "Elsie", since she's an LC-126C, and my great-Aunt's name was Elsie. Eventually she will have a semi-polish finish with the original military markings (as shown above) applied. I fly her to air shows and fly-ins, and try to get her out on display as frequently as I can. I'm a member of the International Cessna 195 Club and have participated in several of their annual conferences and fly-ins. They are a great group of people."
