12/22/2006. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This aircraft was delivered to Canada on July 29, 1942 and assigned to No. 34 Operational Training Unit, No. 3 Training Command, and based at RCAF Station Pennfield Ridge, New Brunswick, Canada. It suffered damage on December 14, 1942 and was struck off charge on May 16, 1944."

04/02/2003. Remarks by Chris Pinn: "The Ventura was proposed by Lockheed to the British Air Ministry as a military version of the Lodestar. AE658 was the very first Ventura built making its maiden flight on July 31, 1941. Although initially intended for delivery to the RAF, AE658 was retained in Canada for the RCAF along with 20 other machines from the first production batch. Six were also transferred to the South African AF."
