03/31/2009. The UAEAF purchased ten AH-64As in 1991 and another twenty in 1993. Under a foreign sales agreement in 2007, the US Army ordered Boeing to convert the UAEAF AH-64As to the AH-64D Apache Longbow version. The upgrading, to be finalized in 2010, is conducted at the Boeing Rotorcraft Systems facility at Mesa, Arizona (formerly McDonnell Douglas Helicopters, Hughes Helicopters).
