"VH-FBC was shipped to Australia by sea in knockdown form from Fletcher's USA plant at Rosemead Airport, California and assembled by Kinsford Smith Aviation Services at Bankstown. It was initially powered by a 240 hp Continental O-470 powerplant which could support a maximum of 1,680 lb (762 kg) in the hopper.
