Our dad, Nelson Kelley Hamilton, son of Harry Hamilton and Catherine
Kelley was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, USA in 1915. They moved to
Athens, Ohio, in 1924. Harry was originally from McConnelsville and
Catherine from Portsmouth, Ohio.
Dad was very interested in photography from a young age. These
photos came from his old photo album. He took pictures of many sites
around Athens, including airplanes. Some photos are about as big as
a postage stamp.
He and our mother Gayle moved from Athens to Foley, Alabama, USA
around 1940. He was a photographer there for many years. Even used
to do aerial photography with a local Foley pilot Cecil Chason.
