03/19/2005. Remarks by Tracy Hancock: "Named Gepard (Leopard) this Komet (Comet) was built in 1925, then converted to Do B Merkur (Mercury) I standard in 1927. Written off in 1930. Changes to the airframe include (but are not limited to): enlarged vertical tail, unbraced tail plane, cut out in the wing center section trailing edge, slightly increased wingspan and either a BWM VI or BMW VIu engine (Merkur II)."
