04/19/2007. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This is the 328th 747 built and it made its first flight on June 2, 1978. Delivered to British Airways 14 days later, it was registered G-BDXG and named "City of Oxford". In October 2001, it was withdrawn from use and stored at Cardiff, Wales, UK. It was sold to the British airline European Skybus Ltd. on February 2, 2002 and immediately leased to the British company European Aviation Air Charter on February 25, 2002; it was sub-leased to Saudi Arabian Airlines between January 4 and April 10, 2003. The aircraft was withdrawn from use and stored at Hurn Airport in June 2004 and was deregistered on March 29, 2006." |
