02/28/2006. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This was the 613th DC-10/MD-11 built and was delivered to the Indonesian airline Garuda Indonesian Airways on May 24, 1997 registered PK-GIL. It was placed in storage at Marana Airport, Marana, California, USA, in April 1998 and then sold to the Boeing leasing company on June 23, 1998. This MD-11 was later sold to a Boeing-owned subsidiary leasing company on October 29, 1999, registered PP-VQJ and immediately leased to the Brazilian airline Varig of Rio de Janeiro, and subsequently leased to TAM Brasil of São Paulo, Brazil."
