05/23/2003. Remarks by Tony Jarvis: "Barling NB-3. It was manufactured in 1929 by the Nicholas-Beazley Airplane Company of Montana, c/n 59 and powered by a LeBlond 60-5-D engine. It came to Canada on November 5, 1929 with the Aeronautical Corp of Canada in Winnipeg, Manitoba. By January 28, 1930 it was registered to a C. Grant of St. Boniface, Manitoba then on July 10, 1940 to J.P. George of Winnipeg again. On August 22, 1942 it was withdrawn from use and converted into...get this...a snowmobile!" |
