All-American Ensign 10-A

01/31/2011. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "The Ensign was an original side-by-side two-seat light sport aircraft designed by Ernest Adler. It was also the first own design of the All-American Aircraft Inc., a company founded by Gerald and Ernest Adler and specialized in sub-contracted work for other aircraft manufacturers.

The type was launched in September 1945 and the prototype Ensign, powered by an 85 hp Continental C85-12FJ engine, first flew during October 1945. Subsequently three more Ensigns were produced, while the Model 10-D, with an 125 hp engine, retractable landing gear, and lengthened fuselage, was not built."
