Jack McKillop: "This F-4F-54-MC Phantom was assigned to the GAFTTC (German Air Force Tactical Training Center) at Holloman AFB. While wearing the USAF serial 72-1151 under which it was produced, and colours of the USAF 20th Fighter Squadron, 49th Operations Group, 49th Fighter Wing, Twelfth Air Force, Air Combat Command, it was still owned by the German Air Force. It was subsequently transferred to the Oscora Range, New Mexico, an Air Force Research Laboratory site in the northern portion of the US Army's White Sands Missile Range. The facility is designed to assemble and evaluate advanced sensor, tracking and atmospheric compensation systems. The aircraft made its last flight on January 24, 2002, it achieved 4652.9 flight hours."
