Fokker V.8

02/28/2009. Remarks by Kees Kort: "The ultimate development of the Fokker factory is shown in the Versuchsmaschine (Experimental machine) V.8 quintuplane. Built with recycled material from other Fokker machines (including the V.6), the tandem wing machine was fitted with three wings in front and two at the mid-fuselage position, and powered by an 120 hp Mercedes six-cylinder liquid-cooled in-line engine. The machine was little flown, as it was a bad flyer or bad performer according to the legend."
