Ian McDonell has been an air enthusiast for over 50 years, having had his first flight in a Butler Airlines DC3 in 1953 at the age of three. He obtained his private pilot's license in 1966 at age 16 and have been attending air shows and museums over the world as the opportunity arises. This is not as often as he would like since he works as an underground coal miner in northern Queensland, Australia, near Mackay. |
