06/15/2006. Remarks by
Jack McKillop: "As part of the Lend-Lease Program, 808 A-20Cs were built by Douglas and 140 by Boeing for delivery as Boston Mk.IIIAs to Britain's Royal Air Force and the Soviet Air Force. An unknown number of A-20Cs were taken over by the USAAF after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Territory of Hawaii, USA on December 7, 1941. Note that the aircraft is painted in RAF camouflage and the original red center of the national insignia on the fuselage has been painted over so this photo had to be taken after May 15, 1942."
