11/15/2006. Remarks by
Jack McKillop: "The Irish Air Corps took delivery of four Model 193 Vespa Mk.IVs on April 14, 1930 and then ordered four Model 208 Mk.Vs. This aircraft was the last of four Model 208s and all were delivered on April 5, 1931. The Vespas served as army cooperation aircraft and were initially issued to B Flight of No. 1 Squadron and later to No. 1 Co-operation Squadron when it was established in October 1934. This was the last Vespa in service and was written off on June 14, 1940."
