Manufacturing of this aircraft was completed on October 21, 1941.
Coded V-174 it was captured damaged by Chinese authorities on the
Leizhou Liuchow china Peninsula on November 26, 1941. The aircraft
was repaired at Liuchow by Chinese engineers who replaced missing
engine panels by substitute panels with louvered vents as visible
in 2258.
Late 1942 the aircraft flew again wearing Chinese markings and serial
P-5016. Early in 1943 it was flown to Karachi, Pakistan and from
there was shipped to the USA. During the transport it was damaged
again and repaired by Curtiss. In USAAF markings and coded EB-2 the
aircraft was tested by the Evaluation Branch at Wright Field, Ohio
and coded as EB-200 at the Army Proving Grounds at Eglin Field,
Florida. Its fate is unknown.
