12/31/2007. This is the second production Seafire Mk.46, first flown from South Marston, late 1942. Only 24 of this interim naval mark 46 were built. It was fitted with a 2,375 hp Rolls-Royce Griffon Mk.87 engine with contra-rotating propellers, a cut-down fuselage with all-around vision canopy, a sting hook buried in the rudder, but no folding wings. |
