11/30/2007. This aircraft was delivered to the USN in 1944 with BuNo 83589. Struck off charge it was used as an instructional airframe at a school in Montana and from 1963 it was displayed at The Air Museum, Ontario, California.

It was sold to the CAF in 1970 and restored to airworthy at Ontario. Painted in the pictured colour scheme and registered as N92879, it was transferred to the CAF airfield at Harlingen, Texas in November 1971. Crashed at Harlingen in August 1985, after a rebuilt of three years it was flown again on September 27, 1988. It is presently registered to the successor of the CAF, the American Airpower Heritage Museum at Midland, Texas, and flown .
