07/17/2004. Remarks by Dan Shumaker: "The Hammond 100 "Sportster" was powered by an 100 hp Kinner K-5. This aircraft was originally known as the Parks P-1-H. The Aerofiles states that there were 7 produced. I could only find N-numbers for 4. The last one on this list is still on the FAA records.
NC12841 c/n 201 The Parks P-1-H was type certificated on November 23, 1932 under Group 2 Memos number 2-428. Joe P. Juptner's book indicates that the name was changed to Hammond 100 on January 23, 1933." |
