03/31/2008. The Hartbees (also known as Hartbee or Hartebeeste) was developed for the SAAF from the Hawker Audax for close support. Four aircraft (s/n 801 to 804) were built by Hawker and a production batch of 65 aircraft (s/n 805 to 869) were built at the Roberts Heights factory, Pretoria, South Africa.
