05/31/2008. The sole Bullet was designed and built as a development vehicle for the 450 hp Bristol Jupiter nine-cylinder radial engine. In December 1919 the single-seat aircraft was shown at the Paris Salon, France, with a partial mockup engine and first flown early 1920. Registered in June 1920, it was flown by C.F. Uwins in that year's Aerial Derby, averaging 129 mls (208 km)/h. It was scrapped in late 1924, the registration was cancelled in April 1925. |
