2003/02/28. Remarks by
Chris Pinn: "This Junkers 287 V1 was an aerodynamic test bed built to evaluate the handling characteristics of swept forward wings. In order to save time and resources, the fuselage was taken from an He 177, the tail from a Ju 388 and landing gear components from two captured B 24 Liberators and a Ju 352. It was powered by Junkers Jumo 004 engines. The unfinished second prototype, the Ju 287 V2, was completed after the war and used for test purposes in the Soviet Union in 1947."
