Bede BD-4 Amphibian

10/31/2010. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "The BD-4 Amphibian was originally developed by Everett J. Blanchard and the design was based on the Bede BD-4 homebuilt aircraft. In the construction much of the BD-4 fuselage was retained and this was combined with a T-tail, an entirely new glass fiber boat hull and new nose section.

The wing was increased in span and the 180 hp Lycoming O-360-A1 engine in the nose was relocated to a pylon atop the wing. The project was started by Blanchard around 1977, then in 1990 taken over by William Deprosse, who completed the aircraft in 1994. The aircraft's registration was cancelled in November 2005."
