04/30/2008. Remarks by
Walter van Tilborg: "'If it worked for the Junkers, it should work for my aircraft.' Maybe that was the idea behind the fuselage construction of the X-Wind, an original design by Jack Bowling. The use of corrugated sheeting for fuselage and tail surfaces made the one-of-a-kind homebuilt stand out. It first flew in 1974, had the wings of a Luscombe 8 Silvaire and a 80 hp Continental A80 engine."
