The last of 33 B-36J produced and the last B-36 produced in all by
Consolidated Vultee under the trade name Convair, it was delivered on
August 14, 1954. It was also the last B-36 to retire on February 12, 1959 when
it was put on display at Fort Worth, Texas, USA. Appropiately named "City of
Fort Worth" it remained at Fort Worth till it was moved to the Pima Air
and Space Museum, Tucson, Arizona, USA on July 22, 2005.
The last B-36 flight was made when B-36J (52-2220) was delivered to the AF
Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, USA on April 30, 1959.
